What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems that power integrations with external applications and APIs.
• Build reliable abstractions for authentication, API communication, data synchronisation, webhooks, retries, rate limiting, and error handling.
• Work with a wide variety of APIs and protocols and develop a deep understanding of how external systems behave in production.
• Build systems that gracefully handle partial failures, inconsistent data, timeouts, rate limits, and unreliable dependencies.
• Work on infrastructure that enables AI agents to interact with external applications and business systems.
• Build and evolve MCP-based systems that expose application capabilities and data to AI models and agents.
• Design systems for tool discovery, execution, permissions, context, and reliable agent-to-application interactions.
• Work on our integration graph, modelling the relationships between applications, accounts, capabilities, data, and actions across the ecosystem.
• Improve the scalability, reliability, observability, and performance of our integration infrastructure.
• Debug complex issues across our systems and external services.
• Work closely with other engineers and product teams to take problems from design through implementation and production.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, code reviews, testing, and engineering practices.

What we're looking for

• Have 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily working on backend systems.
• Have strong computer science fundamentals and enjoy understanding how systems work under the hood.
